Christmas Tea

Christmas tea and spiced eggnog

by Lorna on December 15, 2011

The AubreyRose Tea Room is delighted to welcome you this Christmas Season to spend time with us and enjoy a festive Christmas Tea.

Each year we prepare a special menu from December through the first week of January that truly embodies the holiday spirit.

The experience begins as you are greeted with our delightful sights, scents and sounds of this Blessed Christmas Season.  While sipping our spiced Eggnog, you will be able to select one of our fine loose leaf tea choices, such as, our special Christmas tea blend (black tea flavored with spices), our traditional English Breakfast, Cranberry Autumn, Black Currant, or for the more adventurous, Hot Cinnamon Spice, just to name a few.

Here is a preview of a few of our holiday dishes: a roasted cauliflower bisque, our traditional egg salad sandwich spiced with curry and accented with fresh watercress, English cucumber sandwich with fresh dill cream and a variety of “mouth watering” savories.  Our delicious desserts are baked with love and the selection will change throughout the season.  This year, our signature bread pudding is enhanced with “spirited” cranberries and topped with a warm cranberry chutney and cream.  The experience is topped off with our famous sugar plum scones served with lemon curd and AubreyRose cream.

Please browse our  menu page to see what other delights we may have to tempt your palates.

So since it is that time of year when family and friends gather, why not celebrate with us here at the The AubreyRose for a wonderful and relaxing Christmas Afternoon Tea.

We look forward to serving you.

Loose Leaf Tea

Our loose leaf tea or loose tea as some call it, is high quality, organic tea.  The tea leaves are prepared with centuries old techniques that really help to bring out the full flavor.  From Herbal tea to Black tea, we offer a large selection.  We will often update our offerings throughout the year, from season to season, and on special occasions.

Black Tea

Black tea is widely available in the United States.  However, finding a quality black tea can be difficult.  At our San Diego Tea Room, we offer several varieties of Black tea.  Included are: Darjeeling, Ceylon, Assam, and African just to name a few.  Also popular is our English Breakfast, Black Currant, Paris, Holiday, Caribe, and Apple Cinnamon.
